Terms of Use

Last updated: November 01, 2026

These terms apply to jamfront (https://jamfront.live) and its web app, together "the Service". The operator of jamfront is referred to as "We". By using the Service, or by joining a session run on it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Access

Access to the Service is by invitation. We add and remove people from the access list at Our discretion, and may suspend or end anyone's access at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how We handle your information.

What you may do

Use the Service to run and join live audio sessions. You may not:

Content and copyright

You are responsible for the music and other audio you play through the Service, and for having the right to play and stream it. We do not review it. Respect the rights of others, and any rules of the venue or platform where a session's stream is played.

If We receive a credible complaint that someone is infringing copyright through the Service, We may remove that person's access. We will end access for people who repeatedly infringe.

Sessions and recordings

A "session owner" is an invited account holder who creates a session. The session owner chooses whether to record it, and can remove members. We run the infrastructure and may remove anyone from the Service.

Sessions are live and shared with the other people in them. By joining you accept that you may be heard by the session's participants and audience, and that the session may be recorded. Members may be told when a recording is on, but others may also record outside Our control, with no notice. A session's stream is open to anyone who has its link. Don't share anything private in a session's audio or chat, and behave respectfully toward others.

Availability

The Service is provided as it is and as available, with no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to your purposes. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, and may take it down for maintenance, without notice.

Liability

We are not responsible for losses that arise from using the Service or being unable to use it, including lost sessions, missed events or lost recordings, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

If a claim is made against Us because of audio you played or something you did in breach of these terms, you agree to cover Our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Changes

We may change these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new version.

General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Us about the Service. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If We don't enforce something straight away, We can still do so later. Notices from Us are posted on the Service.

jamfront is an independent service. Jam sessions use Jamulus, an open source project, but jamfront is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Governing law

The laws of the State of California, United States, govern these terms, and disputes will be heard in California courts. If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence still apply. If you have a complaint, contact Us first and We will try to settle it informally.
