Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 01, 2026
This policy applies to jamfront (https://jamfront.live) and its web app. The operator of jamfront is referred to as "We". It covers people with an account and people who only join a session. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@jamfront.live.
Information We hold
- Your email address. If you have an account, you gave it to Us directly, and We added it to the list of people allowed to sign in. We also record which sessions it started.
- Technical data. Our service providers, such as Cloudflare, may automatically record details such as IP address, browser and the time of each request.
- Session connections. The temporary server that runs a session may record the IP addresses of people who connect to it. An address is also used to block a member when the session owner asks. This is deleted when the server is destroyed at the end of the session.
- Recordings. If the session owner records, the audio is stored on the temporary server and is available to the session owner. It is deleted when the server is destroyed.
Jam sessions (Jamulus)
Members join with a Jamulus client. They have no account with Us and never give Us an email address. The details in a member's Jamulus Musician's Profile are visible to everyone in the session, and so is the session's chat. Session traffic, including audio and chat, is not encrypted.
Stream sessions
Performers join from a browser. They sign in with an account like the session owner, and the temporary server sees their IP address while they are connected. Performers' audio is encrypted on its way to the server. The stream that viewers pull is not.
We hold nothing else about you, and We never show your email to other users.
Why We hold it
The email address lets you sign in. Technical data and session connections help Us keep the service secure and working, and spot misuse. A recording exists only if the session owner starts one, and We do not keep it after the session's server is destroyed.
Cookies
The only cookie We rely on keeps you signed in. We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
Sharing
Our service providers handle data on Our behalf, for example for hosting and sign-in. Currently these include Cloudflare and Vultr. We do not sell personal information, and We do not use your email address to contact you. The only emails you receive are the one-time sign-in codes that Cloudflare sends when you log in.
Providers may process data in the United States or other countries.
Retention
Your email stays on the list until you ask Us to remove it or your access ends, after which We delete it. Everything held on a session's temporary server is deleted when that server is destroyed.
Your choices
If you want to see, correct or delete the information We hold about you, or have a concern about how We handle it, write to Us at the address above and We will handle it. Any further rights your local law gives you, such as complaining to a data protection authority, still apply.
Updates
When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
